BEIRUT — Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Fahd Al-Dosari at the Grand Serail in central Beirut on Wednesday, where they discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing efforts to activate the Saudi-Lebanese Joint Committee.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Al-Dosari conveyed the greetings of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to the Lebanese premier.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries, with Saudi Arabia reaffirming its support for Lebanon and expressing appreciation for the Lebanese government’s efforts to preserve the state and its national institutions.
Salam, in turn, affirmed Lebanon’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its territory and citizens.
The two sides also reviewed steps toward activating the Saudi-Lebanese Joint Committee, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination across various sectors.
The initiative to activate the committee was announced during a meeting between Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Salam in New York last month.
