RIYADH — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development continues to develop the skills of Saudis working in the private sector through its ‘Skills Accelerator’ initiative, which offers training programs tailored to labor-market needs.
The initiative aims to develop the skills of more than 300,000 Saudi beneficiaries and has delivered over 590 training programs across more than 10 priority labor-market sectors. These include specialized programs in professional and technical skills, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), with more than 44,000 trainees enrolled in AI skills training.
In the next phase, the ministry plans to complete skills surveys in priority sectors, expand the measurement of training outcomes, and strengthen digital integration with government and private-sector entities and service providers. These efforts will support the development of the skills-development ecosystem and help align it with changes in the labor market.
The Skills Accelerator is part of an integrated portfolio of ministry-led initiatives to build national capabilities and develop national occupational standards. Together, these initiatives aim to enhance the readiness of national talent, expand opportunities for professional development, and meet current and future labor-market needs.
