RIYADH β The Ministry of Sport on Tuesday launched a new licensing service to regulate organized adventure travel activities, known as βAl-Rahhala,β inside and outside Saudi Arabia.
The new Al-Rahhala licensing section has been introduced through the Riyadi platform to unify regulatory procedures and ensure that trips are conducted safely and in an organized manner.
The activity combines adventure travel with environmental exploration and is intended to promote a culture of responsible and sustainable travel.
Through the platform, applicants can submit permit requests that will be reviewed in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure trips comply with applicable regulations, whether conducted inside the Kingdom or abroad.
Participants will also be able to benefit from services provided by other relevant government and supporting entities.
The initiative aims to position Saudi Arabia as a leading destination for organized, safe and sustainable adventure travel while showcasing the Kingdom domestically and internationally.
It also seeks to encourage the professional documentation of sporting, cultural and exploration experiences undertaken by licensed travelers.
